The  Dar es Salaam University of Education (DUCE) is a public institution established in 2005 through Government Announcement no. 202 published on July 22, 2005. The establishment of the College was a priority response of the Government of Tanzania in response to the problem of a large shortage of graduate teachers and experts in the education sector resulting from the rapid expansion of school enrollment. the expansion was based on the success of the Primary Education Development Program (PEDP) in 2002 - 2006 and the Secondary Education Development Program (SEDP) in 2004 - 2009, includingother plans.The campus is located at Plot 324 and 325 Block 'T' Chang'ombe Temeke Municipality, Dar es Salaam Region, next to the new National Stadium and about 5 kilometers from the city center through Kilwa Road. The college has 52.97 acres of land. The college also owns an area of ​​1.17 hectares located in Plot 964/1 Block 'V' Mbagala. This strategic location of the College offers opportunities in various areas of investment due to its proximity to the center of the City.
