Job title: Accountant.

Purpose: To perform financial functions necessary for the smooth operation of the Educational Empowerment Agency.

The employer is a legally registered NGO in Tanzania with its office in Moshi, Tanzania. The NGO focuses on educational initiatives that will advance the aspirations of youth and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds, and related activities intended to help in reducing extreme poverty. fundingscholarships are awarded to people who appear to have the ability and motivation, but without the financial or personal resources, to complete studies that match their skills and interests.


Job summary:

We are looking for a detail oriented and motivated Accountant to join our corporate team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with others. as an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Work;

1. Prepare monthly and annual financial records and reports and reports required by TRA, EdPowerment auditors, other Tanzanian authorities, and EdPowerment US management immediately.

2. Preparing quarterly financial requests for program support and other financial requests as needed for EdPowerment Inc. or other potential donors.

3. Submit receipts and payment documents for all transactions every month in accordance with the procedures set by the Education Empowerment Agency (EdPowerment).

4. Supervise the preparation and presentation of annual budgets.

5. Managing the payment of student fees, staff salaries, and other expenses as required.

6. To carry out banking activities related to corporate activities.

7. To assist in grant applications related to the program.


Qualification:

1. Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

3. At least 3 years of accounting experience (preferably working in an organization).

4. Knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.

5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

7. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
