Role Purpose Statement:
Role is designed to implement a structured training program combining classroom training and on-the-job training for Basic/Line/workshop work. the goal is to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to support the operational needs of an aircraft operator's authorized maintenance organization.
Key Responsibilities/Responsibilities:
• Complete a structured four-year apprenticeship training program, including theoretical and on-the-job training (OJT), and obtain TCAA licenses.
• Explore, learn, and understand a variety of engineering skills and processes under the guidance of technically skilled personnel.
• Demonstrate increasing proficiency by working independently or as part of a team, performing tasks and contributing to the department.
• Learn to read and interpret maintenance manuals or other technical data to determine the possibilities and methods of work assigned to you.
• Learn to inspect aircraft structures and airframe systems and components (e.g., mechanical flight control, hydraulic and fuel systems) using visual inspection techniques and precision measuring equipment.
• Learn to replace or repair damaged or worn airframes using hand tools, pneumatic tools and structural repair equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
• Diploma or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in the use of computers.
• Safety conscious and able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks without compromising quality.
• Strong team player, diligent, responsible, and transparent.
• Experience in aircraft maintenance includes.
• Learn to remove, assemble, and replace aircraft components or system parts.
• Document all inspection results, work performed, and corrective actions in maintenance records to meet established standards.
• Maintain work areas and tools in a clean, organized manner, practicing proper tools and FOD control.
• Understand and apply the importance of health and safety within the workplace, in accordance with established safety regulations and use personal protective equipment.
• Monitor and support continuous improvement activities, using seamless and continuous improvement tools to identify and eliminate waste, improve quality and safety, reduce lead time and reduce costs.
• Assist mechanics with mechanical duties on various aircraft models, including fault diagnosis, disassembly, repair, replacement, reassembly, or modification of systems.
• Maintain a logbook throughout the apprenticeship, recording tasks completed and skills learned.
• Ensuring good maintenance of the workplace and related areas, maintaining a good appearance and professional demeanor at all times.
