Geofields Tanzania Limited (GTL), established in 2008, is a multidisciplinary strategic service provider for the exploration and mining industry. As Tanzania's leading exploration and mining company, GTL offers a wide range of comprehensive services includingdrilling, land survey work, distribution of mining equipment and mining ventures. GTL is in partnership with African Underground Mining Services (AUMS), which operates underground operations at the Geita Gold Mine in Tanzania.

Position: Driver
Job Type: Full time
Location: Geita Gold Mine, Geita
Minimum Requirements:
✓ A minimum of two years of experience in a similar position.
✓ High level of awareness and understanding of local operating conditions and rules.
✓ Previous experience in the mining or heavy industry is preferred.
✓ Experience driving big coaster buses.
✓ Must have a valid Tanzania C, C1, C2, C3, D, or E driver's license.
✓ Basic First Aid Certificate.
✓ He finished secondary school.
✓ Advanced driving course.
✓ Written and verbal skills in English.
Purpose of the position:
The primary responsibility is to drive the workforce around the site and town as directed by the local supervisor. The driver is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
✓ Ensure a safe workplace by complying with Occupational Health and Safety regulations, policies and procedures.
✓ Take appropriate precautions for your safety and that of others affected by the actions.
✓ Perform a vehicle inspection before starting each day.
✓ Drive assigned vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
✓ Drive vehicles according to the conditions and environment.
✓ Obey all traffic laws on the mine site and on public roads.
✓ Maintain high standards of housekeeping in vehicles.
✓ Assist in other areas as needed, as directed by supervisor.
