Maternity Africa is a Christian-based not-for-profit organization that endeavours to provide fistula treatment and quality maternity care for all marginalized women throughout Tanzania. We do this through clinical excellence and in the example of displaying love, kindness and compassion regardless of race, religion or ethnicity. Maternity Africa operates from its base at Kivulini Maternity Centre outside the city of Arusha in Northern Tanzania.

About the role.

We are looking for a reliable and hard -working hospital career to join our patient care team. The best candidate will have effective work values and commit to maintaining high levels of hygiene and hygiene. In this role, you will be responsible for the collection, selecting, washing, drying, pushing/pushing, folding, and distributing of hospital lights and workers' uniforms. You will also maintain hygiene with the laundry room organization.

Role Responsibilities:

• Collect and sort soiled linens from patient rooms and other areas of the hospital.

• Operate industrial washing machines and dryers.

• Wash, maintain and perform minor repairs on employees’ uniforms.

• Fold and stack clean linens.

• Distribute clean linens to patient rooms and other areas of the hospital.

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and drying areas.

• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and certifications, Experience and Skills required.

• Must have an O-level (Secondary School Certificate).

• A certificate in Laundry Operations or Assistant Nursing.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a hospital laundry attendant.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy loads.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
